Learn Spanish Through Reading
You do not need to begin with an entire novel in Spanish. Linguoteka can weave selected Spanish words into an English story, keeping the surrounding context familiar.
A small example
She opened the puerta and walked into the garden.
Puerta means “door.” The sentence gives you a clue before you check the meaning. In Linguoteka, tap a highlighted word to see its original meaning and pronunciation.
Set up English-to-Spanish reading
- Start with an English sample story or import an English EPUB or TXT book.
- Choose English as your reading language and Spanish as your learning language.
- Select your learning level and start with a small amount of replacement vocabulary.
- Read a short section, tap unfamiliar words, and revisit them in Quick Test.
Choose reading you can follow
Familiar topics and short chapters make a useful starting point. If you are stopping in every sentence, reduce the replacement amount. If the words feel familiar, adjust your settings for the next reading session.
Use it as vocabulary practice
Mixed-language reading gives you a way to encounter vocabulary in context. It does not reproduce the full grammar of a Spanish sentence, and it is not a substitute for listening and speaking practice. Combine it with the other ways you learn Spanish.
